Coto Doñana

Spectacular species include flamingos, imperial eagle, deer and wild boar. The Doñana is the last stronghold of the endangered Spanish lynx.

El Rocio

On the edge of the Coto Doñana. Unique ‘frontier-type’ town, complete with real cowboys and gypsies. The shrine of Nuestra Senora del Rocio is now a popular tourist attraction. Once a year at Pentecost, over a million pilgrims dressed in traditional costumes and in decorated carts drawn by horses and oxen make the pilgrimage to Rocio. It is the occasion for 3 days of exuberant festivities.
